Opening MV4 files in Safari (Mac OS X) Please note: Firefox for Mac OS X does not have this particular problem. Use Firefox to download MV4 files if possible. Right-click on link. Choose "Download linked file." File will download, but with a "txt" extension. Locate downloaded file. Click on it to rename it. Remove the ".txt" extension (leaving the extension at MV4). Mac OS X will ask you if you want to do this. Click "OK." Now the file should have the MV4 extension, and will be recognized in iTunes.
Opening MV4 files in Windows 98: Alas, iTunes and Quicktime 7 are not available for Windows 98. Your best bet is VLC Player. |
