I just spent one week of holidays watching my new DVD of North & South (only knew the book before!) and I am so happy to see that I am not alone in my totally crazy mania for the whole series and RA in particular - wow, what a terrific page you've got here!

I have to agree that the train scene at the end really is "the world's best screen kiss." It's not overdone and ridiculous in a way that makes you want to slide down in your seat with embarrasment, but it's also no just a discreet peck. It's absolutely lovely!

What a great site! I read the book last year but had no idea the BBC had even adapted for the screen! I live in Canada and only got to see it by fluke. Needless to say... I must buy it asap! It's so nice to be able to pick a scene and watch it back, over and over, especially as my N&S DVD is out on loan to a friend at present; saves me getting withdrawls.

I absolutely adore this movie and this site was great. I love the ipod clips. If you could add the scene where Miss HAle throws herself on Mr. Thornton to protect him during the riot that would be great. Oh, and the "Look back at me" scene too. I LOVE THIS MOVIE
